The Fundamentals of Insurance course prepares you to pass the Level 1 licensing exam. Then, once you’ve gained some industry experience, you can move on to CAIB 1 and then the other two courses (Level 2 certification) in order to gain your level 3 license – making you eligible to become a principal broker or deputy principal broker in a brokerage or to start your own.

The final CAIB course focuses on items for those who plan to take a leadership role in supervising or managing brokerage functions, including principles of management, organization and broker-carrier relations. In addition, this module provides an overview of the Canadian legal system as it relates to commercial property coverages such as crime insurance and business interruption products, as well as specialty commercial lines such as marine and aviation.
